Nutting Memorial Library

Many library databases allow off campus access to MMA students, faculty and staff. 

Access requires configuration of your internet browser--please see below. 

After you configure your browser and click on the link to the database of your choice from the Library's list of databases, you will be asked to supply your name and the six digit barcode number on the back of your MMA ID/library card.  Once validated, you will be able to use the database as you would on campus.

If you are denied access after completing these steps, please contact us.

Please note: it is often necessary to clear your browser cache and/or start a new internet session for new settings to take effect.

Internet Explorer for Windows

• Click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options"
• Under the "Connections" tab, click on "LAN Settings"
• Check "Use automatic configuration script"
• Type http://millennium.mma.edu:8080/proxy.pac
• Click OK to close settings
• Click OK to close "Internet Properties" window

Internet Explorer for Macintosh 9.2 and under

• Click Edit > Preferences
• Select Proxies
• Under "User Proxy Servers" select "Web Proxy" checkbox
• Click "Settings..."
• In "Web Proxy Settings" window, type http://millennium.mma.edu:8080/proxy.pac
• Enter 8080 in the "Port" field
• Leave "Use Web Proxy for all" selected
• Click OK

Google Chrome

• Click on the "Customize and Control" icon
• Click on "Settings"
• Click on "Show Advanced Settings"
• Under "Network," click on "Change Proxy Settings"
• Under the "Connections" tab, click on "LAN Settings"
• Check "Use automatic configuration script"
• Type http://millennium.mma.edu:8080/proxy.pac
• Click OK to close settings
• Click OK to close "Internet Properties" window

Safari

• Click Safari > Preferences
• Select "Advanced"
• Select "Proxies: Change Settings..."
• The "System Preferences > Network" window opens. The "Proxies" button should be highlighted. Click to select if it is not already highlighted.
• Under "Select a Proxy Server to Configure" ., select the FTP checkbox and enter millennium.mma.edu in "HTTP proxy field". Enter 8080 after the colon.
• Select "Apply Now" to save settings.
