How to Find

There are numerous electronic journals available for free on the Internet. You may try the Directory of Open Access Journals, or if in Maine, Ejournals@MARVEL. A journal title search on the web may yield select full text access from the journal's home page.

Some of the journals the library subscribes to in paper provide electronic access for more recent years. Links are provided in the library catalog for these. The passwords are already input into the library computers.

With students, the focus is on teaching database searching. This results in the widest variety of sources targeting the subject area. After citation information is found, these steps can be taken to locate the full text before an interlibrary loan request is sent.
